When weeks ago a few people inveterately engaged in the cultural sector gathered in a smoky room and over a glass of red wine started a first dialog on founding a literature and culture association no one thought of implementing a server.
However, as Europe is growing together and cultures within are as numerous as manifold, and – the more – a lot of contacts already existing it all of a sudden became clear:
We need a platform! ARTISTS OF ALL COUNTRIES! UNITE!
The idea of the CULTURE SERVER EUROPE was born. An additional IRC-chat shall encourage the boundless communication between artists and people interested in arts and form adequate preconditions for an European- wide platform. This virtual cultural institution will provide webspace also to writers and artists from Eastern Europe in order to give them the possibility to present themselves and their art.
CSE does not raise a claim to be a “culture or art factory”, but understands itself as an interface between the numerous cultural offers.
By now, the website appears in English, German and Romanes, the translation into further languages is planned.
The IRC, of course, welcomes all chatters interested, also those who bring home the bacon from other fields than arts.
